PF1 Carbon Forestry Victoria
Citola is developing plantation forestry joint venture projects to establish carbon outcomes from renewable plantation forestry programs.
Citola has identified opportunities to develop carbon outcomes from new and existing timber programs including (marginal) second rotation properties. Citola is working with plantation managers to develop diversified carbon revenue for stakeholders while inflencing establishment and rotational policies to maxmise environmental outcomes.
Harvested forests, under certain conditions, are eligible under the proposed CPRS legislation to produce Australian Emission Units (AEUs) from a 2008 baseline.
Accreditation
Citola will apply to be recognised as Project Manager and Reforestation Entity pursuant to the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme Bill 2010, Part 10 – Reforestation and subsequent legislation. All processes are conducive with FSC guidelines as to "Best-Practice" Sustainable Forestry. Citola partners approved abatement provider under tthe Greenhouse Friendly™ program established by the Australian Greenhouse Office.
