Citola has developed models and carbon accounting processes to derive carbon outcomes from traditional plantation forestry programs eligible under Kyoto and international carbon standards.

Plantation Forestry

Programs are designed to deliver multiple plantation outcomes derived from one of the following scenarios:

  • Non-Harvested: Carbon outcome (100%) from non-harvested forest
  • Combination: Carbon outcome from non-harvested forest (i.e. 25% of forest stand) AND Carbon (average) and timber outcome from harvested forest (i.e. remaining 75% of forest stand)
  • Harvested: Carbon (average) and timber outcome from harvested forest

We work with plantation managers to generate incremental carbon revenue from new and existing plantations including:

  • Development of site-specific carbon models and monetization strategies
  • New implementation and rotation policies to maxmise carbon outcomes
